Position: Librarian
Location: Os, Norway
Salary: $1300 per month

We are searching for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Librarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for books and a love for organizing and maintaining information. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the library, including managing collections, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and coordinating events and programs.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize library collections, including cataloging, shelving, and weeding materials
- Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide reference services
- Develop and implement library programming to engage the community
- Maintain library technology systems and troubleshoot any issues
- Train and supervise library staff in daily tasks, including circulation duties
- Collaborate with other departments to promote library services and resources
- Stay updated on current trends in librarianship to improve services offered

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (Master's preferred)
- Previous experience working in a library setting (minimum 2 years)
- Excellent knowledge of cataloging systems (e.g. Dewey Decimal Classification)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Proficient in using technology for library services
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends when needed
