Contract Librarian in Os, Norway


We are seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Contract Librarian to join our team in Os, Norway. As a Contract Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the library's collection of books, journals, and other materials. You will also assist patrons with research and provide reference services. This is a contract position with accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the library's collection of books, journals, and other materials
- Assist patrons with research and provide reference services
- Develop and implement library policies and procedures
- Catalogue new materials and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan and implement programs for the community
- Stay informed about new technologies and developments in library science

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Previous experience working as a librarian
- Knowledge of library systems, resources, and tools
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
- Fluency in Norwegian (preferred)
