Head Baker
As the Head Baker, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bakery, ensuring a high-quality and consistent output of baked goods. You will lead a team of bakers, providing guidance and training as needed. Your creativity and attention to detail will be essential in developing new recipes and maintaining the quality of existing ones. You should have a passion for baking and possess strong leadership skills to effectively manage your team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the bakery, including production, inventory, and customer service
- Train and supervise a team of bakers to ensure consistency in quality and productivity
- Develop new recipes and maintain the quality of existing ones
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Keep track of sales data and make recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with other departments to create seasonal menus or special promotions
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a baker or pastry chef
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Creativity in developing new recipes while also maintaining established ones
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Good time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail to ensure consistency in quality
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Valid health/food handlerβs certification is preferred
Location: Os City, Norway (Preference for Norwegian or EU nationals)
Salary: $1500 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)
