Database Administrator

We are hiring a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Bergen, Norway. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in database management and administration, with a thorough understanding of database languages and systems. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of 1500$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain databases according to company needs
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Develop and implement backup and recovery plans for databases
- Ensure data security and integrity by implementing appropriate access controls and data encryption
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to integrate databases with other systems
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and upgrades

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database languages such as SQL, Oracle, and MySQL
- Familiarity with database design principles and data modeling techniques
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization
- Ability to troubleshoot database issues quickly and effectively
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of cloud-based databases such as AWS or Azure
- Certification in Database Administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)
- Experience with data warehousing techniques
