Heavy Equipment Operator

A heavy equipment operator is responsible for operating and maintaining various types of large machinery, such as bulldozers, excavators, and cranes. They work on construction sites, mining operations, and other industrial projects to move materials, dig trenches, and perform other tasks as needed. The job requires physical stamina, technical skills, and attention to detail.

As a heavy equipment operator in Bergen, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining heavy machinery on construction sites throughout the city. This role requires strong communication skills to work effectively with other team members and ensure that tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. You must also have a high level of physical fitness to handle the demands of the job.

Responsibilities:

- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and cranes according to project plans
- Safely move materials around construction sites using machinery
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
- Communicate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure projects are completed on time
- Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines for operating heavy machinery

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid heavy equipment operator license/certification
- Minimum of 1 year experience operating heavy equipment (preferred)
- Good communication skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work in a team environment

Salary: $900 per week (negotiable based on experience)
