Commercial Architect

As a Commercial Architect, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of commercial buildings in Bergen. Your primary role will be to collaborate with clients to determine their needs and create detailed plans that meet their specifications and budget. You will also be responsible for obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities, as well as working with contractors and subcontractors to ensure the successful completion of projects.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of architectural principles, building codes, and construction materials. You must also possess excellent project management skills and be able to effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop design concepts for new commercial buildings or renovations
- Create detailed plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local authorities
- Work with contractors and subcontractors to ensure the timely completion of projects within budget
- Regularly visit construction sites to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise
- Ensure that all building designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards
- Conduct site surveys to gather information for new projects
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the entire project lifecycle

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Commercial Architect
- Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit
- Strong understanding of architectural principles, building codes, and construction materials
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Attention to detail
- Valid work visa for Bergen

Salary: $1700 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Bergen, Norway

Employment Type: Full-time, on-site.

Note: This position is open to all nationalities. However, candidates with a valid work visa for Bergen will be given preference.
