Executive Chef at Bergen's Premier Restaurant
We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team at the top fine dining establishment in Bergen. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing innovative and exceptional menus, overseeing all kitchen operations, and managing a team of culinary professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and high-quality menus that showcase the best of local and seasonal ingredients
- Oversee all aspects of food production, including ordering ingredients, managing inventory, and ensuring food safety standards are met
- Train, mentor, and manage a team of chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff to deliver outstanding dishes and service
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and continually innovate menu offerings to keep the restaurant competitive
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
- Proven ability to create exceptional dishes using local and seasonal ingredients
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Attention to detail in menu planning, food preparation, plating, and presentation
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
Salary: $1500 per month
Location: Bergen (with accommodation provided if needed)
