As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations in our Bergen location. This includes managing staff, ensuring quality service and food, and maintaining a profitable business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, and schedule staff members
- Oversee inventory and ordering
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitor customer satisfaction and address any issues or complaints
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers
- Create and maintain budgets to ensure profitability
- Collaborate with chefs to create menus that meet customer preferences and budgetary guidelines
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts for the best pricing
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and make recommendations for improvements
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English (Norwegian language skills preferred)
- Knowledge of restaurant management software, such as POS systems
- Understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and cost control procedures
- Familiarity with food safety regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
- Proven track record of successfully managing a restaurant with high customer satisfaction ratings
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate employees to achieve goals
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
Salary: 1000$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Bergen, Norway (willingness to relocate preferred)
