Head Chef
As the Head Chef at our fine dining restaurant in Bergen, you will have a crucial role in creating and maintaining our culinary reputation. We are seeking a creative, passionate and experienced individual to lead our kitchen team and deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Responsibilities:
-Plan and develop seasonal menus that showcase locally sourced ingredients
-Manage inventory and control food costs
-Ensure high quality standards are met for all dishes served
-Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring smooth operations during service
-Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and adhere to food safety regulations
-Collaborate with management to develop new concepts and specials for the restaurant
Requirements:
-Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a fine dining establishment
-Culinary degree or equivalent training/certification preferred
-Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
-Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
-Excellent communication skills in both English and Norwegian (preferred)
-Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Salary: 1800$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
