Instrument Technician
We are seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to join our team in Bergen. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various instruments and control systems used in industrial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, and maintain various instruments such as pressure gauges, thermometers, flow meters, and level sensors
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with control systems and identify faulty components
- Repair or replace faulty instruments and control system components
- Follow safety protocols and procedures while working with electrical equipment
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to ensure efficient operation of instruments and control systems
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Instrument Technician or related field
- Experience working with various types of instrumentation in an industrial setting
- Knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques
- Familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) is a plus
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Vocational or technical training in instrumentation preferred
Salary: 1200$
Location: Bergen (with accommodation provided)
Contract job (with possibility for extension)
