Crane Operator


We are in need of a skilled Crane Operator to join our team in the beautiful city of Bergen, Norway. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating various types of cranes to move, lift, and position materials at construction sites or other locations. This is a physically demanding job that requires excellent hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate cranes according to safety regulations and manufacturer's instructions
- Inspect crane for any defects or malfunctions before use
- Communicate with ground crew and supervisors to ensure safe lifting operations
- Rig loads and attach them to the crane using appropriate equipment
- Maneuver the crane into position by operating controls and observing surroundings
- Lift and move materials as directed by supervisors or signalers
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust operations accordingly
- Keep record of daily activities, including lifts performed and maintenance checks completed

Requirements:
- Valid certification or license for crane operation (preferably from a recognized organization)
- Prior experience as a crane operator in construction or similar industry
- Good knowledge of different types of cranes and their capabilities
- Ability to read and interpret load charts
- Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1700 per month for this position. In addition, accommodation will be provided for our out-of-town employees. We also provide opportunities for training and career growth within the company.
