Welder in Bergen, Norway
We are looking for an experienced Welder to join our team in Bergen, Norway. As a Welder, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components according to specifications and industry standards. You will work with a variety of tools and equipment to produce high-quality welds on various materials.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to determine welding requirements
- Measure and mark workpieces using measuring tools and templates
- Operate welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, and ARC welders
- Clean, prepare, and set up surfaces for welding by removing rust, dirt, and debris
- Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions
- Monitor equipment operation to ensure proper functioning and make necessary adjustments
- Inspect welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards
- Troubleshoot issues with welding equipment or processes as needed
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Welder in a similar role
- Proficient in using various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, ARC) on different materials (steel, aluminum)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Familiarity with welding safety standards and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods of time
