Pastry Chef for High-End Cafe in Bergen
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team at a high-end cafe in Bergen. Our ideal candidate has a passion for pastry-making and a strong understanding of flavor combinations, textures, and presentation. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for crafting unique and delicious desserts, pastries, and baked goods that will impress our customers. You must have previous experience in a professional kitchen and be able to work efficiently under pressure. A competitive salary of 1500$ will be offered to the successful candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Create and design new dessert menus in line with current trends
- Prepare high-quality pastries, cakes, breads, and other baked goods
- Ensure all products are consistently of the highest quality
- Manage inventory of ingredients and equipment
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs
- Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a professional kitchen
- In-depth knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Creative flair with the ability to develop new flavors and designs
- Strong time-management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
Preferred qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Norwegian cuisine
