Concierge Assistant

As a Concierge Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional hospitality and customer service to our guests at our luxury hotel in Bergen. You will assist the Concierge team in ensuring that all guest requests are promptly and efficiently fulfilled, from booking reservations to arranging transportation and providing recommendations for local attractions. Your friendly and professional demeanor, along with your excellent communication skills, will create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Responsibilities:
- Greet guests upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures
- Provide information about the hotel facilities and services
- Answer guest inquiries and make reservations for dining, transportation, and events
- Offer recommendations for local attractions, restaurants, and activities
- Arrange transportation for guests as requested
- Handle guest complaints or issues with tact and efficiency
- Maintain knowledge of current events, local activities, and attractions in order to provide accurate recommendations to guests
- Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones, filing paperwork, and responding to emails
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education required; degree in hospitality or related field preferred
- Prior experience in customer service or hospitality industry strongly preferred
- Exceptional communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships with guests
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of local area attractions and activities
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
