Front-End Web Developer

As a Front-End Web Developer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining user-friendly and visually appealing websites. You will work closely with designers to translate mockups into functional websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Your role will also involve optimizing websites for maximum speed and accessibility, as well as conducting cross-browser and device testing. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential for this role. This is a full-time position in Alta that includes accommodation and a free visa and ticket. Women are encouraged to apply.

Salary: 1400$ per month

Location: Alta, Norway

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with designers to create functional website designs
- Write clean, efficient code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Optimize websites for maximum speed and accessibility
- Conduct cross-browser and device testing
- Troubleshoot and debug website issues
- Stay up-to-date on emerging web development trends and technologies
- Communicate project progress and challenges with team members
- Work independently to complete tasks within given deadlines

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience as a Front-End Web Developer or similar role
- Proficient understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular is a plus
- Familiarity with design software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills in English (Norwegian language skills are a plus)
