Back-End Developer for Contract Role in Alta, Norway


We are hiring an experienced Back-End Developer to join our team in Alta, Norway on a contract basis. As a Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining server-side logic and integrating front-end elements into the application. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of back-end development languages such as Java, Python or Ruby, as well as experience with database technologies like MySQL or MongoDB.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain efficient and reliable server-side code
- Integrate front-end elements into the application
- Ensure high performance and responsiveness of the application
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Identify and fix any bugs or performance issues
- Optimize the application for maximum speed and scalability
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve overall quality of the codebase

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Back-End Developer
- Strong understanding of back-end development languages such as Java, Python or Ruby
- Experience working with database technologies like MySQL or MongoDB
- Familiarity with front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Knowledge of web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
