Machine Learning Engineer



As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing machine learning algorithms to analyze and interpret large datasets. Your role will involve working with cross-functional teams to identify business problems and design solutions that can be solved using machine learning techniques. You will also be responsible for building, testing, and deploying machine learning models in production environments. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in computer science, mathematics, and statistics, as well as experience with programming languages such as Python or R. This position is based in Alta, Norway with accommodation provided.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement machine learning models for data analysis
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify business problems and design solutions
- Build, test, and deploy machine learning models in production environments
- Analyze large datasets using statistical methods
- Collaborate with data scientists to improve existing algorithms
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in machine learning technologies
- Communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, mathematics, or related field
- Strong background in statistics, mathematics, data structures, and algorithms
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R
- Experience with machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Knowledge of database systems (SQL) and data manipulation tools (Pandas)
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically about complex problems
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
