Data Mining Specialist


We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Mining Specialist to join our team in Alta, Norway. As a Data Mining Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can drive business decisions. This is a part-time position with accommodation and visa sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct data mining activities to identify relevant information from large datasets
- Use statistical methods and tools to analyze data and identify patterns and trends
- Develop algorithms and models to extract insights from complex data sets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions
- Communicate findings and recommendations through visualizations, reports, and presentations

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data mining or analysis role
- Proficient in statistical analysis tools such as R or Python
- Experience with SQL and database management systems
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings in a clear and concise manner

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Data Science or related field
- Experience with machine learning techniques for predictive modeling
- Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark
