Moderator

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Moderator to join our team in Alta, Norway. As a Moderator, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing online discussions and communities to ensure that they adhere to our company's guidelines and policies. This is a contract position with a salary of $1700 per month, and accommodation will be provided.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and moderate online discussions, comments, and posts in various platforms such as forums, social media, and chat rooms
- Enforce company guidelines and policies to maintain a positive and safe online environment
- Engage with users in a professional manner to resolve conflicts or issues that may arise
- Identify and report any inappropriate or harmful content
- Collaborate with other moderators to develop strategies for improving the quality of discussions
- Stay updated on current trends and issues within the community to effectively moderate discussions

Requirements:
- No prior experience is necessary, but strong communication skills are required
- Must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
- Familiarity with different online platforms such as forums, social media, and chat rooms
- Ability to remain impartial when handling sensitive or controversial topics
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus

Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field
- Experience moderating online communities or forums
- Knowledge of community management software or tools
