Entry-Level Locksmith

A well-established locksmith company in Alta, Canada is seeking an entry-level locksmith to join our team. As a locksmith, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining locks and other security devices for residential and commercial properties. This is a contract position with a salary of $1500 per month and includes accommodation.

Responsibilities:
- Install new locks on doors, windows, safes, and other entry points
- Repair broken locks or replace them if necessary
- Rekey existing locks to create new keys for clients
- Provide emergency services for clients who are locked out of their homes or cars
- Install and maintain electronic security systems such as keyless entry systems and access control systems
- Create master key systems for commercial properties
- Keep detailed records of all work performed and materials used

Requirements:
- No prior experience in locksmithing required; training will be provided on the job
- Must have basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanical equipment
- Good physical strength and dexterity to handle heavy equipment and work in small spaces
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues with locks or security systems
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients in a professional manner
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred qualifications:
- Certification or diploma in locksmithing or related field is a plus
- Previous experience in customer service or sales is an asset
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
