Preservation Architect


As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures in the city of Alta. You will work closely with local authorities, building owners, and contractors to ensure that historic sites are properly maintained and restored according to preservation standards. Your role will be crucial in protecting the city's cultural heritage and promoting sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of historical buildings and structures to determine their condition and preservation needs.
- Creating detailed preservation plans that adhere to local regulations and guidelines.
- Overseeing restoration projects, including managing budgets, timelines, and contractors.
- Collaborating with local authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals for preservation projects.
- Conducting research on materials, techniques, and technologies used in historic construction.
- Providing guidance to building owners on proper maintenance practices for historic properties.
- Participating in public outreach programs to raise awareness about the importance of preserving cultural heritage.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture with a focus on historic preservation.
- Previous experience working on preservation projects is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and preservation guidelines.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with different stakeholders involved in preservation projects.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

Benefits:
This is a full-time position with a salary of 1100$ per month. As an international candidate without experience, we offer accommodation support for your relocation to Alta.
