Executive Chef - Seasonal Position in Alta, Norway
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Alta, Norway. As a seasonal position, this role offers the chance to work in a beautiful location and showcase your culinary skills.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee all kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staffing
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high-quality food standards and service
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with restaurant management to create new menu items and special offerings
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to budgetary guidelines for food costs and labor expenses
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of creating innovative menus and managing kitchen operations effectively
- Knowledge of international cuisine and ability to adapt recipes accordingly
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Must have own visa or be eligible to obtain a work permit in Norway
- Previous experience working in seasonal positions is preferred
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1500 per month, along with accommodation during the duration of the season. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for experience in international cuisine while exploring the beautiful landscape of Alta.
