Head Chef
As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations and ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality. Your role will involve creating and implementing menus, managing inventory and food costs, training and supervising kitchen staff, and maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop creative menus that meet the preferences of our customers while staying within budget
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to high standards of quality and presentation
- Oversee daily kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies to maintain stock levels
- Monitor food costs and ensure efficient use of ingredients
- Train kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols
- Supervise kitchen staff during food preparation to ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times to meet health codes and regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and appliances
- Excellent time-management skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills
- Proficient in inventory management
- Knowledge of health codes and regulations
- Food safety certification is preferred
Salary: $900 per month (negotiable based on experience)
City: Alta (open to both local candidates as well as those willing to relocate)
