Contract Instrument Technician - Alta, Canada

Our company is seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to join our team in Alta, Canada on a contract basis. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and calibrating various instruments used in industrial and manufacturing processes. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have experience in the oil and gas industry and be able to work on a contract basis without accommodation. Visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on various instruments such as pressure gauges, flow meters, temperature controllers, etc.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with instruments and develop solutions for repairs
- Perform calibrations and adjustments to ensure accurate readings
- Install new instruments as needed
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities
- Follow safety protocols at all times

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in the oil and gas industry
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and schematics
- Strong understanding of electronic circuitry and programming
- Familiarity with various measurement units (pressure, temperature, flow)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition to perform duties that may require climbing ladders or working in confined spaces
- Valid work visa for Canada (visa sponsorship available)
