Crane Operator
Location: Alta, Norway
We are searching for a skilled and experienced Crane Operator to join our team in Alta, Norway. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of cranes to lift, move, and position materials and equipment on construction sites. You must have strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, as well as excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. The ideal candidate will have experience operating different types of cranes such as mobile, tower, and overhead cranes. This position offers a salary of 1600$ per month with accommodation provided. This opportunity is suitable for men who meet the required qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of cranes safely and efficiently according to job requirements
- Perform daily inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Communicate effectively with team members using hand signals or radios
- Lift, move, and position materials using the crane's hoist or boom
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while operating the crane
- Keep track of inventory and report any maintenance or repair needs
- Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Crane Operator in a construction environment
- Valid crane operator license or certification
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to crane operation
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and at heights
- Good communication skills
- Physically fit with no restrictions on lifting or climbing
- Willingness to work flexible hours when necessary
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating different types of cranes such as mobile, tower, or overhead cranes
- Knowledge of basic mechanics for troubleshooting minor issues
- Familiarity with different rigging techniques
Salary: 1600$ per month with accommodation provided.
