Experienced Carpenter in Alta, Norway



We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our construction team in Alta, Norway. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, such as building frameworks, walls, roofs, and decks. The ideal candidate will have extensive carpentry experience and a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and building plans to determine materials needed and dimensions of structure
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge
- Cut or shape wood materials to specified measurements using hand tools or power equipment
- Assemble and fasten materials together using nails, screws, staples or adhesives
- Install structures such as windows, frames, floorings or trim
- Inspect work for accuracy and quality control
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Carpenter in residential or commercial construction
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods
- Ability to read blueprints
- Skilled in using hand tools (saws, hammers) as well as power tools (drills)
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good time-management skills

Optional Requirements:
- Prior experience with concrete formwork
- Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations

Salary: $900 per month with potential for increase based on performance. Accommodation provided. Visa sponsorship available for non-Norwegian nationals.
