Job Title: Land Surveyor
We are in need of a skilled Land Surveyor to join our team in Alta, Norway. As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting accurate and precise surveys of land and providing detailed reports to inform construction and development projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct topographic surveys and prepare detailed maps using surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and laser scanners
- Collect data from field observations, photographs, and satellite images to create accurate representations of the land
- Analyze data from surveys to determine property boundaries, elevation levels, and other important factors for construction projects
- Prepare reports and drawings that include survey results, calculations, maps, and other relevant information
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure accurate planning and execution of construction projects
- Maintain survey equipment and ensure its proper calibration and functioning at all times
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in land surveying or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in land surveying or a similar role
- Proficient knowledge of surveying techniques, equipment, software (e.g. AutoCAD), and regulations/laws related to land surveying
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data accurately
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues from different backgrounds
- Strong physical stamina as the role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Biometric passport (or willingness to obtain one) is required for this position
