Preservation Architect


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Monte-Carlo. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures while ensuring they meet modern safety and accessibility standards. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and other professionals to develop and implement preservation plans that respect the historical significance of the structure.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of historic structures to determine necessary preservation measures
- Developing plans for restoration, repair, and maintenance of historic buildings
- Collaborating with clients, contractors, engineers, and other professionals to ensure preservation plans are feasible and meet safety standards
- Obtaining necessary permits and approvals for preservation projects
- Creating detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for preservation work
- Overseeing construction work to ensure it adheres to preservation plans and meets quality standards
- Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise
- Managing project budgets and timelines

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture (with a focus on Historic Preservation)
- Minimum of 3 years experience working as a Preservation Architect
- Strong understanding of architectural history, materials conservation, building codes, accessibility standards, etc.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Biometric passport preferred (or ability to obtain one)
- Fluency in French or Italian is a plus but not required

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $1100 per month without accommodation. However, there may be opportunities for bonuses based on performance.
