Preservation Architect


As a Preservation Architect for our company in La-Condamine, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures. Your role will involve conducting research, creating preservation plans, and overseeing restoration projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on the history and architectural significance of historic buildings and structures
- Develop preservation plans that adhere to local and national regulations and guidelines
- Collaborate with various stakeholders including local authorities, conservationists, and construction teams
- Oversee restoration projects to ensure that they are executed according to the preservation plan
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise
- Utilize your knowledge of sustainable building practices to implement environmentally-friendly solutions in preservation projects
- Provide technical expertise on materials, construction techniques, and historical building styles
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in preservation technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Proven experience in preservation architecture or similar roles
- Strong understanding of architectural history, conservation principles, and regulations for historic buildings
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite or other relevant software
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough research
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Physical ability to conduct site visits as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Historic Preservation or a related field
- Experience working on restoration projects in La-Condamine or similar locations
- Knowledge of sustainable building practices
