Chef de Cuisine
As a Chef de Cuisine, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen operations of our high-end restaurant in La Condamine. This is a fast-paced and dynamic role that requires excellent leadership and culinary skills. You will be working closely with our team to create unique and delicious menus that showcase our commitment to using fresh, local ingredients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation
- Create new menus and dishes that are both innovative and in line with our brand's concept
- Train and manage kitchen staff, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained at all times
- Monitor food inventory levels and place orders as needed to ensure timely delivery of ingredients
- Adhere to all food safety standards and regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth communication between the kitchen and dining areas
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into menu development
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or similar role in a fine dining establishment
- Passion for creating unique dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff effectively
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Food safety certification is preferred
- Ability to communicate fluently in English (French proficiency is a plus)
Salary: $1700 per month (negotiable based on experience)
