Pastry Chef
We are in search of a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team in La-Condamine. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting a variety of desserts, pastries, and other baked goods. Your main duties will include creating new recipes, managing inventory and ordering supplies, as well as maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience working in a professional kitchen and possess strong knowledge of different pastry techniques and flavor combinations. A strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work well under pressure are also essential for this role. Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Degree in Culinary Arts or relevant field preferred
- In-depth knowledge of pastry techniques and flavor combinations
- Ability to create new recipes while adhering to dietary restrictions or preferences
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills
- Familiarity with sanitation regulations and food safety guidelines
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities:
- Create new dessert recipes based on customer preferences or seasonal ingredients
- Prepare and present pastries, cakes, breads, pies, cookies, and other baked goods
- Oversee inventory management by monitoring supplies and ordering ingredients
- Manage kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation
- Ensure all food items meet high standards of quality, taste, texture, and appearance
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the pastry kitchen according to health code standards
- Train junior pastry chefs on proper techniques and procedures
- Collaborate with other culinary team members to develop new menu items
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques through research and attending workshops or conferences
- Monitor equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs
Salary: $1500 per month (negotiable based on experience and qualifications)
Location: La-Condamine, Monaco (candidates with valid work permits preferred)
