Plumber - Maintenance Technician

As a Plumber - Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings. Your main duties will include installing pipes, fixtures, and appliances, as well as troubleshooting and repairing leaks, clogs, and other plumbing issues. You will also be in charge of regularly inspecting plumbing systems to identify potential problems and ensuring they are functioning properly.

To excel in this role, you should have a thorough understanding of plumbing systems and be able to read blueprints and drawings. You must also possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work efficiently under pressure. A customer-oriented approach is essential as you will interact with clients on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:
- Install pipes, fixtures, and appliances according to building codes
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and broken pipes
- Repair or replace damaged parts
- Conduct regular inspections of plumbing systems
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a plumber or maintenance technician
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to plumbing systems
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Customer-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina to handle physically demanding tasks

Preferred:
- Certification or degree in plumbing or a related field
- Experience working in both residential and commercial settings
- Bilingual (English/French) proficiency is a plus
