Database Administrator

As a Database Administrator in our company, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our databases. You will work closely with the IT team to ensure proper database management and maintenance. This is a contract position with a salary of $1300 per month, located in Fonvieille. Accommodation will not be provided, making it an ideal opportunity for students looking to gain experience in the field.

Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain database software
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Develop backup and recovery plans
- Create and update database documentation
- Ensure data security and compliance with company policies
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement new database systems or upgrades

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Knowledge of database structure, theories, principles, and practices
- Familiarity with database design, data manipulation languages, and SQL programming
- Experience with database security procedures and disaster recovery protocols

Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases
- Experience working on Linux/Unix platforms
