Job Title: Typesetter

As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for setting and arranging text and images on a page, according to the specifications provided. This role requires a strong eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines. You will be working closely with editors and designers to ensure the final product is visually appealing and error-free. Your duties may also include preparing files for printing or digital publication. Proficiency in typography and layout software, as well as a strong understanding of design principles, are essential for this position.

Responsibilities:
- Set and arrange text and images on pages according to provided specifications
- Collaborate with editors and designers to ensure visual appeal and accuracy
- Prepare files for printing or digital publication
- Review final layouts for errors or inconsistencies
- Follow design guidelines to maintain consistency throughout publications
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a typesetter or in a similar role
- Excellent eye for detail
- Proficiency in typography and layout software (e.g. Adobe InDesign)
- Strong understanding of design principles
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, communications, or related field (preferred)
- Portfolio showcasing previous typesetting work (preferred)
