Industrial Alpinism Technician
As an Industrial Alpinism Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks at high altitudes in industrial settings. This may include inspecting and repairing equipment, conducting safety checks, and cleaning or painting structures. You will need to be physically fit and comfortable working at heights, as the job often involves climbing ropes or scaffolding to reach work areas. Additionally, you may be required to work in confined spaces or adverse weather conditions. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting regular maintenance and repair tasks on industrial equipment and structures at high altitudes.
- Inspecting equipment for any signs of damage or wear.
- Completing safety checks before and after each job.
- Safely operating specialized equipment such as rope access systems.
- Cleaning, painting, or performing other tasks on structures as needed.
- Identifying potential hazards and taking appropriate safety measures.
- Communicating with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure efficiency.
- Maintaining accurate records of work performed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in industrial alpinism is preferred but not required.
- Physically fit with no fear of heights.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures at all times.
- Familiarity with specialized equipment used in industrial alpinism such as ropes, harnesses, and pulleys.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential hazards.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
Working Conditions:
This is a physically demanding job that often involves working at great heights. You must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. The job may also require working in confined spaces or performing tasks that require bending, lifting, or carrying heavy equipment. You will need to adhere to all safety regulations while on the job.
Salary:
