Data Analyst - Contract Position (Greenland)
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Greenland. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing large sets of data to provide valuable insights and inform decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in data analysis, proficiency in statistical software and programming languages, and strong attention to detail. Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, organize, and analyze large sets of data from various sources
- Develop and maintain databases for efficient data management
- Identify trends, patterns, and correlations in data to provide valuable insights
- Create reports and visualizations to effectively communicate findings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs
- Develop predictive models using statistical software and programming languages
- Continuously monitor data quality to ensure accurate analysis
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in data analysis techniques
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role
- Proficiency in statistical software such as R or SAS
- Strong knowledge of SQL or other programming languages
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret large datasets
- Attention to detail with the ability to identify errors or inconsistencies in data
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related field
- Experience in data mining and machine learning techniques
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of data governance and regulatory compliance
- Previous experience in a contract or project-based role
