Freelance Interpreter



We are in need of a skilled and experienced Freelance Interpreter to join our team in Greenland. As an interpreter, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between different languages and cultures. Your main responsibility will be to listen to, understand, and translate spoken or written words from one language to another.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and efficient interpretation services in a variety of settings such as meetings, conferences, and events
- Interpret between English and the target language (Greenlandic or Danish) with high proficiency in both languages
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times while interpreting
- Quickly and accurately translate documents from the target language to English and vice versa
- Conduct research on specialized terminology for specific industries or topics as needed
- Collaborate with other interpreters or translators as necessary to ensure seamless communication
- Keep abreast of industry developments and trends related to language interpretation

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an interpreter, preferably in a professional setting
- Fluency in both English and Greenlandic or Danish (written and spoken)
- Excellent listening, verbal communication, and writing skills in both languages
- Strong knowledge of cultural differences and sensitivity towards them
- Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

Education:
A degree or certification in translation/interpretation is preferred but not required. Prior experience will also be considered.

Salary:
$1500 monthly salary based on full-time work.

Location:
This is a full-time job based in Greenland without accommodation provided.
