Interpreter (Greenlandic-English)


As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between individuals who speak Greenlandic and English. This includes interpreting spoken words, written documents, and cultural nuances. You may work in a variety of settings such as business meetings, legal proceedings, or medical appointments.

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong command of both Greenlandic and English languages. You should also have excellent listening and speaking skills, as well as the ability to convey messages accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
- Interpret verbal communication accurately and objectively from Greenlandic to English and vice versa
- Translate written documents such as emails, reports, and legal documents
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
- Familiarize yourself with specialized terminology related to the industry or setting you are working in
- Understand cultural differences that may impact communication and adapt accordingly
- Act as a liaison between parties to ensure effective communication
- Take notes during meetings or appointments to assist with accurate interpretation if needed

Requirements:
- Fluency in both Greenlandic and English languages
- Strong listening and speaking skills
- Ability to convey messages accurately and efficiently
- Excellent understanding of cultural differences that may impact communication
- Knowledge of specialized terminology related to the industry or setting you are working in is preferred but not required
- Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain confidentiality and impartiality

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1000$ per month.

Location:
This job is located in Greenland. However, remote work options may be available depending on the specific needs of the job.

Experience:
No prior experience is required for this position. However, previous experience as an interpreter or working in a related field would be an asset.

Visa and Ticket:
We offer free visa sponsorship for eligible candidates. If needed, we will also provide a ticket for travel to Greenland.
