Entry-Level Turner in Greenland


A well-established manufacturing company in Greenland is seeking an Entry-Level Turner to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual looking to kick-start their career as a Turner.

As an Entry-Level Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various turning equipment to manufacture precision metal components according to specifications. You will work closely with experienced Turners and receive on-the-job training and guidance.

The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong interest in mechanical work and a willingness to learn. No prior experience is required, but candidates with experience in similar roles or relevant education/training will be given preference.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate turning machines such as lathes, grinders, and milling machines
- Study blueprints, sketches, or job orders to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces
- Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments
- Troubleshoot machine issues and perform routine maintenance
- Work efficiently and meet production targets while maintaining quality standards

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- Basic understanding of mechanical processes and tools
- Ability to read technical drawings/blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods of time
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
