Metal Worker (Contract) - Greenland



We are seeking a skilled and motivated Metal Worker to join our team on a contract basis in Greenland. As a Metal Worker, you will be responsible for fabricating, repairing, and installing metal structures and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using various tools
- Cut, shape, and bend metal plates, pipes, beams, and bars using manual or automated tools
- Weld or solder parts together using various welding techniques
- Grind and smooth welds to ensure a seamless finish
- Install metal structures and equipment according to specifications
- Repair damaged metal structures and equipment as needed
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in metalworking preferred but not required
- Knowledge of different welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick) is an asset
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions for extended periods of time
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
