Executive Chef in Greenland
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Greenland. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating innovative and high-quality dishes, as well as strong leadership and management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new menu items that showcase local ingredients and flavors
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high standards of quality and consistency
- Manage inventory and control food costs to maximize profitability
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events and menus
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a fine dining restaurant or hotel
- Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred
- Strong knowledge of international cuisine, including seafood, game meats, and vegetarian options
- Ability to manage a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time-management skills to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Knowledge of food cost control measures and inventory management systems
- Experience working in remote locations is an asset
