Seasonal Executive Chef in Greenland
We are searching for a skilled and passionate Executive Chef to join our team in Greenland for a seasonal position. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen and creating delicious, high-quality meals for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus that showcase local ingredients and flavors
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain adequate stock levels
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
- Create special menus for events or dietary restrictions
- Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Passion for creating unique dishes using fresh, local ingredients
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred:
- Experience working in remote or seasonal locations
- Knowledge of Greenlandic cuisine
Salary:
The salary for this position is $1600 per month.
Accommodation:
Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the seasonal contract.
Location:
This position is located in Greenland. Prior experience living or working in remote locations is preferred but not required.
