Head Pastry Chef

The Head Pastry Chef will be responsible for overseeing the creation and execution of all pastry items in our high-end restaurant in Greenland. This role requires a highly skilled pastry chef with extensive experience in creating unique and delicious desserts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and an eye for detail, as well as strong leadership skills to manage a team of pastry chefs.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a menu of high-quality, visually appealing dessert options
- Create new and innovative dessert recipes that align with the restaurant's concept and seasonal ingredients
- Train and supervise a team of pastry chefs, providing guidance and feedback to ensure consistency and excellence in their work
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies to maintain production needs
- Ensure all food safety standards are met, including proper storage, preparation, and handling of desserts
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate dessert offerings with main menu items

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Pastry Chef or similar role in a fine dining establishment
- In-depth knowledge of various baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate with and motivate team members
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop unique dessert recipes that align with the restaurant's concept
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Food safety certification preferred

Salary:
This position offers a competitive salary of $1000 per week.

Location:
This role is located in the beautiful country of Greenland. While preference will be given to Greenlandic citizens or those with work permits, we welcome applicants from all nationalities who meet the requirements.
