Head Pastry Chef


We are seeking a skilled and creative Head Pastry Chef to join our team in the beautiful city of Greenland. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our pastry department, including menu planning, recipe development, ordering supplies, and managing a team of pastry cooks.

Responsibilities:
- Create and develop new pastry and dessert menus that showcase local ingredients and reflect current food trends
- Manage the production and plating of all pastries and desserts to ensure high quality and consistency
- Order necessary supplies and maintain inventory levels to ensure smooth operation of the pastry department
- Train, mentor, and supervise a team of pastry cooks to develop their skills and maintain high standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with other departments to create special event menus or accommodate dietary restrictions

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role
- Proficient in various baking techniques and familiar with modern pastry trends
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train others
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Creativity and attention to detail in creating visually appealing desserts

Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume establishment
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, evenings as needed

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1000 per week for this full-time position.
