Land Surveyor
A land surveyor is responsible for measuring and mapping land features, such as boundaries, topography, and elevation. They use specialized equipment and technology to accurately measure and record data for construction, engineering, or mapping purposes. The ideal candidate will have experience in land surveying and be able to work independently with attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct field surveys using equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and laser scanners
- Analyze survey data and create maps, plans, and reports
- Identify property boundaries and easements
- Prepare legal descriptions of properties
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and developers on construction projects
- Ensure accuracy of survey data through careful measurements and calculations
- Maintain records of surveys, notes, sketches, and other documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in land surveying or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience in land surveying
- Proficiency with total stations, GPS receivers, and other surveying equipment
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate calculations
- Attention to detail with the ability to spot errors or discrepancies in data
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team when needed
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with various professionals
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations related to land surveying
Location:
This position is located in Greenland. Our company provides accommodation for employees who require it. Visa sponsorship may also be provided for non-Greenlandic candidates.
Salary:
The salary for this position starts at $1200 per month but may vary based on experience level.
