Job Title: Preservation Architect
We are hiring a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Copenhagen. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures. Your duties will include conducting site assessments, developing preservation plans, and overseeing restoration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site assessments to determine the condition and historical significance of buildings and structures.
- Develop preservation plans that comply with local, state, and national historic preservation guidelines.
- Work with project teams to ensure that historic elements are preserved during restoration or renovation projects.
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for preservation projects.
- Collaborate with contractors to ensure that restoration work is carried out according to plans and specifications.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise.
- Maintain accurate records of all preservation activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in historic preservation architecture.
- Knowledge of local, state, and national historic preservation guidelines and regulations.
- Experience with AutoCAD or other drafting software.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
