Preservation Architect
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures in the beautiful city of Copenhagen. This is a full-time position that does not require previous experience, making it a great opportunity for those looking to enter the field. In this role, you will utilize your knowledge of architecture and preservation techniques to ensure that historical buildings are maintained and restored in a way that respects their cultural and architectural significance. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and government agencies to develop plans for preserving or restoring buildings, as well as overseeing the implementation of these plans.
Key responsibilities:
- Conducting site visits to assess the condition of historical buildings
- Researching and analyzing historical documents, photographs, and other resources
- Collaborating with clients to understand their goals for the preservation or restoration project
- Developing detailed plans for preserving or restoring buildings while adhering to budget constraints
- Overseeing construction teams during the implementation phase to ensure compliance with preservation guidelines
- Working with local government agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Strong knowledge of architectural history and preservation techniques
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
