Librarian - Copenhagen, Denmark
As a Librarian in Copenhagen, Denmark, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library's collection of books, documents, and other materials. You will work full-time and have experience in library management. Accommodation will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize the library's collection of books, documents, and other materials
- Catalogue new materials and maintain accurate records of existing items
- Ensure that all materials are properly shelved and easily accessible for patrons
- Assist patrons with locating materials and provide reference services
- Plan and implement library programs and events to promote literacy and engage the community
- Stay updated on current trends in literature and technology to enhance the library's services
- Train and supervise library staff members to ensure efficient operations
- Collaborate with other librarians to continuously improve the library's offerings
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons and enforce library policies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (Master's preferred)
- Previous experience in library management or a similar role
- Knowledge of cataloguing systems, information retrieval methods, and reference resources
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to assist patrons from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing technologies and evolving needs of the community
Salary:
The salary for this position is 1400$ per month.
