Sous Chef
The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations and food preparation at our renowned restaurant in Copenhagen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious dishes and a strong background in culinary arts.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Head Chef to create new menu items and ensure consistency in food quality
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety standards
- Oversee kitchen inventory, purchasing, and budget management
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following health and safety regulations
- Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and cost analysis
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to menu specifications
- Support special events and catered functions as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant environment
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts preferred
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate team members
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Creative mindset with a passion for experimenting with new flavors and ingredients
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $900 per week, along with opportunities for growth within our company.
