Head Chef
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our team in the vibrant city of Copenhagen, Denmark. As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating and implementing menus, managing kitchen operations, and overseeing the preparation and presentation of all dishes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and delicious menus that showcase local ingredients and cater to dietary restrictions
- Manage inventory, budget, and ordering to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety standards, and menu items
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of all dishes to maintain high quality and consistency
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager on special events, promotions, and catering services
- Ensure compliance with health codes, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations
- Continuously monitor food costs and make adjustments as needed to maintain profitability
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a busy restaurant environment
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and ingredients
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and manage a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
